Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026. Short version: use stmtai to convert statements you are allowed to process, check the results before relying on them, and we will treat you fairly.

The service

stmtai is a product operated by Reinvent Global. stmtai converts bank, credit card and similar financial statements into spreadsheet and accounting-software formats, and checks the extracted numbers against the balances printed on the statement. It is a tool to save you time; it is not accounting, tax or financial advice.

Accuracy

We work hard to make every conversion balance, and we tell you clearly when it doesn't. Automated reading of documents can still make mistakes, especially on poor scans. You are responsible for reviewing results before using them, and any flagged conversion should be checked row by row.

Your responsibilities

• Only upload statements you own or are authorised to process (for example, as a bookkeeper for a client).
• Don't attempt to bypass page limits, reverse-engineer the service, or upload malicious files.
• Keep your account credentials private.

Plans, pages and payment

• Usage is measured in pages. Paid plan pages start again on each billing date; free plan pages start again on the first of each month (UTC). Pages Packs never expire and are used after monthly pages.
• Failed conversions are not charged. If pages were reserved and the conversion then failed, they are returned automatically.
• Free pages are for trying the service: one free account per person, and free conversions share a daily limit across all visitors that may pause them until the next day. Paid plans and Pages Packs are never affected by that limit. Creating accounts to collect free pages is not allowed and such accounts may be closed.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account page; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Prices exclude any applicable taxes, which are shown at checkout.

Refunds

Within 14 days of any payment, the pages you have not used are refunded in full. Just email us. The refund is the unused share of that payment: the price paid multiplied by the pages left over from it divided by the pages it bought. A refunded payment ends the plan or removes the pack pages it bought. After 14 days a payment is not refundable, except that we refund any charge caused by a fault on our side, without conditions. Pack pages never expire, and a cancelled subscription runs to the end of the period already paid for.

Data

See our Privacy page. In short: deletion is attempted after processing, lifecycle rules remove anything left behind, results expire after 7 days, and nothing is used for training.

Availability and liability

We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or penalties arising from reliance on an unverified conversion.
