Step by step: PDF statement to CSV
- Drop the statement on the home page and wait for the balance check.
- Click CSV. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD, amounts have no currency symbols or thousands separators.
- In your software, map Date → Date, Amount → Amount (or Out/In if it wants two columns), Description → Payee or Description.
What usually goes wrong, and how this avoids it
- Bank CSV exports often cover only 90 days and omit the running balance, so there is no way to check them.
- Locale problems: "1.234,56" or "12/03/2026" get misread. Our CSV uses unambiguous ISO dates and plain decimals.
CSV questions
Which delimiter and encoding?
Comma-separated, UTF-8, quoted fields where needed. It opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets without an import wizard.
Can I get a QuickBooks 3-column CSV?
Yes, there is a separate "QuickBooks CSV" download with Date, Description, Amount in the layout QuickBooks Online accepts. The .qbo file is usually the better choice, though.
Does the CSV include the balance?
Yes, the running balance after each transaction, which is what lets you spot a missing row.
