What a converter leaves to you
Everything after the rows, done before you download.
Any converter gives you a table. The checking, fixing, splitting and formatting that usually follows is what stmtai does first.
4,210.00 + 6,494.15 − 6,792.44
= 3,911.71 ✓ matches the statementProves the numbers, not an accuracy score
Opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the printed closing balance. You see the figures behind the verdict.
Finds the exact row
The first row where the running balance breaks is marked, beside the original page. Correct it in place and the check re-runs.

A suggested category on every row
From a fixed list of 22, editable in the table. Change a payee once and the same label is applied on later statements, remembered in your browser.

Checks the months against each other
Up to 12 statements at once. Each closing balance must meet the next opening balance; missing, repeated or overlapping months are pointed out.

Where your statement goes
Read once, deleted, never used for training.
Deletion starts after processing
Your file is read once inside our AWS account and we attempt to delete it as soon as processing ends. An AWS lifecycle rule removes anything left behind.
Results expire, or go when you say
The extracted table becomes eligible for automatic deletion after 7 days with an account (1 day without). Or press Delete now.
Never used for training
The model reads your statement and returns the rows. Nothing you upload is used to train any model.
Transactions stay out of our logs
Our logs record that a conversion happened and how many pages it had. Your transactions and balances are never written to them.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Uploads travel over HTTPS and sit in Amazon S3 with server-side encryption. Your file never leaves AWS.
We never see your card
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Card details never reach our servers.

Common questions
How do I convert a PDF bank statement to Excel?
Drop the PDF on the home page. In about 10 to 40 seconds you get every transaction in a table, a balance check showing whether the numbers add up, and a Download Excel button. The first 5 pages are free with no account.
How accurate is it?
We do not ask you to trust a percentage. Every conversion is reconciled: the printed opening balance plus all money in minus all money out must equal the printed closing balance, and each running balance must follow from the previous row. If anything is off, we show the exact row to check. If it balances, it is right.
Does it work with scanned or photographed statements?
Yes. Scanned PDFs, phone photos (JPG/PNG) and digital PDFs are all read visually, so layout, columns and handwriting-free scans work. Very blurry photos may produce flagged rows; the balance check will tell you.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank, credit card or brokerage cash statement, in any country. There are no per-bank templates to set up: the statement is read the way a person would read it. Statements listed newest-first are put in date order automatically.
Can I convert a whole year of statements at once?
Yes, drop up to 12 files together. Each one is reconciled on its own, and statements from the same account are then checked against each other: the closing balance of one month must equal the opening balance of the next, and any missing, overlapping or duplicated months are pointed out by file name. You get one Excel workbook with an Overview sheet and a sheet per statement, or a single merged CSV.
Does it categorize transactions?
Yes, as a suggestion. Every row gets one of 22 plain categories (Groceries, Utilities, Payroll, Transfer, Subscriptions & Software and so on) chosen from the description. Change any of them with a click in the table. Categories go into the Excel and CSV downloads; the QuickBooks and Xero files deliberately leave them out, because those programs apply their own rules on import and would ignore ours.
How do I import the result into QuickBooks?
Download the QuickBooks (.qbo) file, then in QuickBooks Online go to Transactions → Bank transactions → Upload from file and choose it. QuickBooks Desktop: File → Utilities → Import → Web Connect Files. If your QuickBooks does not accept .qbo, use the "QuickBooks CSV" download instead.
How do I import into Xero?
Download the Xero CSV. In Xero, open the bank account → Manage Account → Import a Statement, and upload the file. The columns (Date, Amount, Payee, Description, Reference) are already in the layout Xero expects.
What happens to my statement after I upload it?
It is processed once inside our AWS account and deletion is attempted when processing finishes, with an AWS lifecycle rule as fallback. The extracted table becomes eligible for deletion after 7 days (1 day without an account); there is a Delete now button if you would rather not wait. Nothing is used to train any model.
What does a "page" mean and what does it cost?
One page of a PDF or one image is one page. CSV, QIF and OFX files count as one page per 4,000 characters. 5 pages are free with no account, 10 a month with a free account. A Pages Pack is $19 for 100 pages that never expire. Pro is $29/month for 300 pages. Failed conversions are never charged.
Is there a file size or page limit?
Each upload is at most 60 pages and 20 MB. A longer PDF is cut into parts of up to 60 pages on your device before it is sent, the parts are converted together, and the results page checks that each part carries on from the one before. Images and CSV files over 20 MB cannot be split.
My bank's PDF is password protected. Does that work?
Yes. Drop it as normal. If the PDF only restricts printing or copying (most bank statements), it is unlocked in your browser without any input. If it needs a password to open, a prompt appears under the upload box; enter the password the bank gave you and the file is unlocked on your device. The password and the original file are never uploaded; only the unlocked copy is, and it is charged the same number of pages.
Can I get a refund?
Within 14 days of any payment, the pages you have not used are refunded in full. Just email us. An untouched purchase is refunded whole; a part-used one is refunded for the pages left. Failed conversions are never charged, and anything we misread or fail to deliver is refunded without conditions.
