When MoneyThumb is the better choice
- Your statements are long. A 40-page statement is one conversion with MoneyThumb and 40 pages here.
- You want software installed on your own machine and are happy to pay once.
- You are a lender who needs income analysis or tampering detection, which is what PDF Insights and Thumbprint are for.
- You need QIF or QFX output for Quicken, which their converter lines produce.
When stmtai is the better choice
- Your statements are short: card statements of 2 to 4 pages cost $5.00 to $1.67 each on the MoneyThumb online plans and a few cents here.
- You want to try before paying: 5 pages need no account or card.
- You need Excel, CSV, QBO, Xero and Tally XML from the same upload rather than separate product lines.
- You work from a laptop and a phone and do not want to install anything.

Questions
Is a conversion the same as a page?
No. MoneyThumb counts one statement as one conversion whatever its length. We count pages. For statements under about 5 pages we are cheaper per statement; for very long statements MoneyThumb can be.
Can stmtai replace 2qbo Convert Pro?
For bank and credit-card statements into QuickBooks, yes: upload the PDF, check the balance badge, download the .qbo. We do not convert investment statements or produce QIF/QFX files.
Does stmtai do fraud detection on statements?
No. The balance check will tell you when the transactions do not add up to the printed balances, which catches many edits, but it is not a tampering detector and we do not market it as one.
