When LedgerBox is the better choice
- A whole team needs to log in and you want unlimited seats without paying per user.
- You want transactions pushed straight into QuickBooks Online without downloading a file, or webhooks into your own system.
- You need a client portal where clients upload and you see the history.
- You also extract receipts and other document types.
When stmtai is the better choice
- Occasional or seasonal use: the Pages Pack is a one-time purchase and its pages never expire, so there is no monthly bill in the quiet months.
- You want to test the QuickBooks file before paying; ours is included in the free pages.
- You export to Xero.
- You do not want statements kept in a third-party portal.

Does LedgerBox reconcile like stmtai does?
Both check the transactions against the balances on the statement. We also show which row breaks the running balance first and offer the fix in the table; compare how each handles a statement you know to be tricky.
Which is cheaper for a bookkeeper with ten clients?
Ten clients at roughly 6 pages a month is about 60 pages. That is LedgerBox Starter at $25 (or $17 yearly) with no spare, or our Pro at $29 for 300 pages, or a $19 Pack that lasts a little under two months at that rate. Above about 300 pages a month the two ladders are closer; check both.
Can I move from LedgerBox to stmtai?
There is nothing to migrate. Both produce standard Excel, CSV and QBO files that go into the same accounting software. Convert one statement here first; it needs no account.
