How to download a Revolut statement as a PDF
- In the Revolut app, tap 'Accounts' below your balance and choose the currency account you want, for example GBP or EUR.
- Tap 'More (...)' then 'Statement'.
- Choose the period (a month, a year or custom dates) and set the document type to PDF.
- Tap 'Generate'. The statement opens in the app; use the export icon in the top right to save or share the PDF.
- Repeat for each currency you hold. Revolut Business users go to 'Home', then 'Accounts', pick the account and use the statement download there; you need the account management permission to see it.
Then drop the file above. Several months at once is fine; a year comes back as one workbook with a sheet per month.
Before you upload: is the PDF password-protected?
Revolut statement PDFs are not password-protected in either the personal or Business app. If you receive a locked Revolut PDF it has been protected by whoever forwarded it.
What Revolut statements look like
Per-currency account statement with Date started, Date completed, Description, Money out, Money in, Balance, plus a fee note under exchanges.
Revolut issues one statement per currency account, so a customer holding pounds, euros and dollars gives you three PDFs for the same month. Each has a table headed Date started, Date completed, Description, Money out, Money in, Balance, with the balance printed on every completed transaction. Card payments show the merchant and, for foreign spending, the original amount and currency under the description, while exchanges appear as a line in each currency with a fee note beneath. Pending transactions sit at the top of the table without a balance, which is why the closing balance on the statement can differ from the balance in the app. Dates are written as 4 Mar 2026.
Where Revolut statements trip up other converters
- Two dates per row; the completed date is used so balances follow. Download one statement per currency pocket; each is reconciled in its own currency.
None of this is bank-specific configuration. The balance check catches these cases for every bank; this list just explains what you will see on a Revolut file.
Why not just use Revolut's own export?
The statement screen offers Excel as well as PDF, for the same date range, and Revolut Business adds CSV. The Excel file is essentially the statement in a grid, with both dates, description, money out, money in, fee and balance columns, so it is a reasonable starting point. Where it falls short is consistency: column names change between the personal and Business products and between app versions, and exchanges appear as two linked lines that need pairing. Currently there is no history cut-off for open accounts. If you want a stable layout that matches your other banks, or you are sending the same document to an accountant, convert the PDF.
What you get back
- A green Balanced badge when the printed opening balance plus money in minus money out equals the printed closing balance, row by row. Or a red one pointing at the first row that does not add up, with a one-click swap if debit and credit look reversed.
- Click any misread cell, correct it, and the check re-runs before you download.
- Download Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (.qbo), Xero CSV or Tally XML, whichever Xero imports best, with a suggested category on every row.

Revolut questions
I have GBP, EUR and USD in Revolut. Do I need three statements?
Yes, one per currency, and each should be treated as a separate bank account in your books. Each PDF is converted in its own currency with its own running balance. Do not try to merge them into a single sheet; the balances belong to different accounts and an exchange between them shows as money out on one statement and money in on the other.
Why does my Revolut statement have Date started and Date completed?
Date started is when you made the payment and Date completed is when it settled. The balance moves on the completed date, so that is the date stmtai puts in the Date column. The started date is kept in the description if the two differ, which is common for card payments made over a weekend.
Pending transactions at the top of my Revolut statement: are they included?
They are listed but have no balance and may still change or drop off. Because they carry no balance they cannot be tied out, so the reconciliation works from the completed rows and the pending block is left out of the running balance. If a pending item matters to you, wait for it to complete and generate the statement again.
How do I convert a Revolut statement PDF to Excel?
Download the statement PDF from Revolut online banking or the app, drop it on this page, and wait about 10 to 40 seconds. You get every transaction in a table, a balance check against the printed opening and closing balance, and Excel, CSV, QuickBooks, Xero and Tally XML downloads. The first 5 pages are free with no account.
Do I need a Revolut template?
No. The statement is read the way a person reads it, so Revolut layout changes do not break anything. What protects you is the balance check: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the printed closing balance, row by row.
Does it work with scanned Revolut statements?
Yes. Scanned PDFs and phone photos are read visually. Blurry pages may produce a flagged row; the check tells you exactly which one to look at.
Can I import Revolut transactions into Xero?
Yes. Download the .qbo file and use Upload from file in QuickBooks Online, or Web Connect import in QuickBooks Desktop. For Xero, download the Xero CSV and use Import a Statement on the bank account. Excel and CSV work everywhere else, including Google Sheets.
How many Revolut statements can I convert at once?
Up to 12 files at a time, 60 pages each. A year of monthly statements comes back as one Excel workbook with an Overview sheet showing which months balanced, a sheet per month with a Category column, and a Categories sheet totalling the year by category.
What happens to my statement?
It is processed once and deletion is attempted as soon as processing finishes; an AWS lifecycle rule removes anything left behind. The extracted table becomes eligible for deletion after 7 days (1 day without an account). Nothing is used for training.
