Checked to the cent.
Drop a ICICI Bank PDF and get a clean spreadsheet, QuickBooks or Xero file in seconds. Every row is checked against the balances printed on the statement, so a misread is flagged, not hidden.

How to download a ICICI statement as a PDF
- Log in to ICICI Bank Internet Banking and go to Accounts, then Bank Accounts, then Statements (or Account Statement).
- Select the account and choose Detailed Statement with a date range. Statements can be viewed and downloaded for roughly the last four years.
- Set the format to PDF and click Download or Generate, then save the file.
- To email it instead, choose Email Statement on the same screen; the mailed copy will be password-protected.
- In iMobile Pay: tap Accounts and Deposits, then the account, then Statement or Email Statement, and pick the period.
Then drop the file above. Several months at once is fine; a year comes back as one workbook with a sheet per month.
Before you upload: is the PDF password-protected?
ICICI's emailed statement PDFs use the first four letters of the account title in lowercase followed by the date and month of birth in DDMM; for a current account it is the date and month of incorporation, and for a joint account it is the first holder's details. Vivek Kumar born 1 February gives vive0102. Type that into the prompt that appears when you drop the file; it is unlocked in your browser and the password goes no further. The Internet Banking download comes unprotected if you prefer.
What ICICI statements look like
Transaction Date, Value Date, Description, Ref No./Cheque No., Debit, Credit, Balance.
ICICI statements print Transaction Date, Value Date, Description, Ref No./Cheque No., Debit, Credit and Balance, and the transaction date is the one that goes into the output. Dates are dd/mm/yyyy. Descriptions are prefixed with the channel: UPI/, NEFT-, IMPS/, BIL/ (for bill payments) or ACH/ for standing instructions, followed by the counterparty and a numeric reference. Balance uses lakh grouping and is shown to two decimals without a Cr or Dr marker, since savings accounts do not go negative. A page holds around 35 rows and a quarterly statement on a busy salary account is commonly 15 to 25 pages; the mini-summary at the top gives opening and closing balance only, no counts.
Where ICICI statements trip up other converters
- Two dates per row; the transaction date is used. Lakh-style grouping is handled.
None of this is bank-specific configuration. The balance check catches these cases for every bank; this list just explains what you will see on a ICICI file.
Why not just use ICICI's own export?
Internet Banking offers the detailed statement in PDF, Excel and text as well, and the Excel is usable for a month or two of tidy transactions. It suffers the usual Indian bank export problems: dates come through as text, the two date columns confuse a simple import, and Excel sometimes drops leading zeros in reference numbers. Corporate Net Banking users have a separate e-Statements area under Accounts. The PDF conversion is worth it when you are working from statements a client forwarded, or when you want the balance check that the raw Excel does not perform.
What you get back
- A green Balanced badge when the printed opening balance plus money in minus money out equals the printed closing balance, row by row. Or a red one pointing at the first row that does not add up, with a one-click swap if debit and credit look reversed.
- Click any misread cell, correct it, and the check re-runs before you download.
- Download Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (.qbo), Xero CSV or Tally XML, whichever Tally imports best, with a suggested category on every row.

ICICI questions
Which date does the Excel use, Transaction Date or Value Date?
Transaction Date. Value Date is kept in a separate column so you still have it for interest calculations, but sorting, month-end cut-offs and the running balance check all use the transaction date, which is what ICICI orders the statement by.
I entered the password and the PDF still will not open.
The letters are lowercase and taken from the account title as ICICI holds it, which may be a shortened or differently spelled name from what is on your PAN. For a joint account use the first holder. If it still fails, download the statement from Internet Banking, which has no password at all.
How do I convert a ICICI statement PDF to Excel?
Download the statement PDF from ICICI online banking or the app, drop it on this page, and wait about 10 to 40 seconds. You get every transaction in a table, a balance check against the printed opening and closing balance, and Excel, CSV, QuickBooks, Xero and Tally XML downloads. The first 5 pages are free with no account.
Do I need a ICICI template?
No. The statement is read the way a person reads it, so ICICI layout changes do not break anything. What protects you is the balance check: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the printed closing balance, row by row.
Does it work with scanned ICICI statements?
Yes. Scanned PDFs and phone photos are read visually. Blurry pages may produce a flagged row; the check tells you exactly which one to look at.
Can I import ICICI transactions into Tally?
Yes. For TallyPrime, download the Tally XML and import it as Transactions. Excel and CSV work everywhere else, including Zoho Books.
How many ICICI statements can I convert at once?
Up to 12 files at a time, 60 pages each. A year of monthly statements comes back as one Excel workbook with an Overview sheet showing which months balanced, a sheet per month with a Category column, and a Categories sheet totalling the year by category.
What happens to my statement?
It is processed once and deletion is attempted as soon as processing finishes; an AWS lifecycle rule removes anything left behind. The extracted table becomes eligible for deletion after 7 days (1 day without an account). Nothing is used for training.
