Checked to the cent.
Drop a TD Bank (US) PDF and get a clean spreadsheet, QuickBooks or Xero file in seconds. Every row is checked against the balances printed on the statement, so a misread is flagged, not hidden.

How to download a TD Bank statement as a PDF
- Log in to TD Bank Online Banking (td.com, US) and select the account.
- Click the "Statements" tab for that account.
- Choose the year, then the statement date from the list.
- Open the PDF and save it. Business Central users find the same list under the Statements tab per account.
- In the TD Bank (US) app, tap the account, then "Statements", then the statement; use the share icon to save the PDF.
Then drop the file above. Several months at once is fine; a year comes back as one workbook with a sheet per month.
Before you upload: is the PDF password-protected?
TD Bank US statement PDFs have no password. They upload as is.
What TD Bank statements look like
Sections for Electronic Deposits, Electronic Payments, Checks Paid and Service Charges, then a Daily Balance Summary.
TD statements do not always follow the calendar month; a personal checking cycle often runs from a mid-month date to the next, so the "Statement Period" line on page one matters more than usual. Below the "Account Summary" the activity is grouped under "Daily Account Activity" as "Electronic Deposits", "Other Credits", "Checks Paid", "Electronic Payments", "Other Withdrawals" and "Service Charges", each subtotalled, followed by a "Daily Balance Summary" that lists the ledger balance by date. Checks Paid is a grid of check number, date and amount, with the note "No. Checks: n" beneath it. Dates are MM/DD. The header carries a "Primary Account #" and a "Cust Ref #", and combined business statements list each sub-account in turn with its own summary; split those by page range before uploading so each sub-account is checked on its own. Personal statements are three to six pages and quite dense.
Where TD Bank statements trip up other converters
- Checks are listed by number and amount only; the description becomes "Check #1234".
None of this is bank-specific configuration. The balance check catches these cases for every bank; this list just explains what you will see on a TD Bank file.
Why not just use TD Bank's own export?
From account activity you can download transactions in CSV, or in Quicken and QuickBooks formats, for roughly the last 18 months. The export is a live feed: it shows posted activity but no opening or closing balance and no daily balance, and the descriptions are abbreviated compared with the statement. That is enough to top up a bank feed. For a full year, a period older than 18 months, or a business statement with several sub-accounts, the PDF statements (kept online for 7 years, and still downloadable for a while after an account is closed) are the better source.
What you get back
- A green Balanced badge when the printed opening balance plus money in minus money out equals the printed closing balance, row by row. Or a red one pointing at the first row that does not add up, with a one-click swap if debit and credit look reversed.
- Click any misread cell, correct it, and the check re-runs before you download.
- Download Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (.qbo), Xero CSV or Tally XML, whichever QuickBooks Online imports best, with a suggested category on every row.

TD Bank questions
My TD statement runs from the 8th to the 7th. Does that cause problems?
No, as long as page one is in the PDF. The statement period line gives the exact start and end dates, and the year for each row is derived from it, including the rollover when a cycle crosses a year end. The tie-out uses the beginning and ending balances from the Account Summary for that cycle, not calendar-month figures.
Is this the same as TD Canada Trust?
No. TD Bank, N.A. in the US and TD Canada Trust use different portals and different statement layouts, and this page covers the US bank. Canadian EasyWeb statements convert as well, but the section names and the CAD amounts follow the Canadian format; use the Canada page for that.
How do I convert a TD Bank statement PDF to Excel?
Download the statement PDF from TD Bank online banking or the app, drop it on this page, and wait about 10 to 40 seconds. You get every transaction in a table, a balance check against the printed opening and closing balance, and Excel, CSV, QuickBooks, Xero and Tally XML downloads. The first 5 pages are free with no account.
Do I need a TD Bank template?
No. The statement is read the way a person reads it, so TD Bank layout changes do not break anything. What protects you is the balance check: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the printed closing balance, row by row.
Does it work with scanned TD Bank statements?
Yes. Scanned PDFs and phone photos are read visually. Blurry pages may produce a flagged row; the check tells you exactly which one to look at.
Can I import TD Bank transactions into QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Download the .qbo file and use Upload from file in QuickBooks Online, or Web Connect import in QuickBooks Desktop. Excel and CSV work everywhere else, including Google Sheets.
How many TD Bank statements can I convert at once?
Up to 12 files at a time, 60 pages each. A year of monthly statements comes back as one Excel workbook with an Overview sheet showing which months balanced, a sheet per month with a Category column, and a Categories sheet totalling the year by category.
What happens to my statement?
It is processed once and deletion is attempted as soon as processing finishes; an AWS lifecycle rule removes anything left behind. The extracted table becomes eligible for deletion after 7 days (1 day without an account). Nothing is used for training.
