Best Australian bank statement converters (2026)
Which bank statement converters say they read Australian statements, which name Australian banks, and what do they charge?
Last updated
Last checked October 2026. Deciding column: Markets. 13 tools listed, 9 left out as not published.
What the table shows
13 of the 26 converters checked in October 2026 name Australia and New Zealand or any bank as a market on their own homepage or pricing page: stmtai, ParseBank, BankXLSX, DocuClipper, LedgerBox, Lido, Rocket Statements, FlowParse, CapyParse, StatementToBudget, Documentric, StatementVision and MintConvert. Dates are day first, DD/MM/YYYY or day and short month, with the year on the row or in the header. Amounts use a point for decimals and a comma for thousands, in Debit and Credit (or Withdrawals and Deposits) columns, and an overdrawn or credit-card balance is marked DR or CR after the figure at CommBank and others rather than with a minus. Transaction and savings account statements are monthly at most banks but six-monthly at Macquarie and quarterly at Up, so a single PDF can hold twenty pages. BPAY, PayID and Osko descriptions carry reference numbers that wrap onto a second line. Australian banks with their own page on this site: CommBank, ANZ, Westpac, NAB, Macquarie and Up. Of the 13 listed, Rocket Statements names Australian banks on its own pages (CommBank, ANZ, Westpac and Macquarie); the Banks named column has each list. StatementToBudget lists Pro and Bookkeeper monthly plans and a Page Pack whose credits do not expire; a single file can be unlocked for $9.99; the plan figures are not readable in the fetched text; Rocket Statements lists Plans shown at $8, $17, $38 and $58 a month with a yearly saving beside each; page allowances are not readable in the fetched text. BankQBO, MoneyThumb, Suparse, Parseur, Nanonets, Docsumo, CleanStmt, StatementTable and EasyLedger do not say on the pages read whether they name Australia and New Zealand or any bank as a market, so they are left out rather than guessed. stmtai is in the list on the same terms, and so are its limits: 12-file batch cap, no MT940, BAI2 or camt.053 input, no analytics. Every cell below names the page it was read from; a value the site does not show is printed as not published.
- Tally XML. TallyPrime XML export: Receipt and Payment vouchers for Alt+O import, alongside Excel, CSV, QuickBooks and Xero.
- Non-expiring pack. $19 buys 100 pages that never expire, and no statement is charged more than 15 pages.
- API and email-in. REST API and email-in on every plan, including the free one.
- Your file. Deletion of your file starts when processing ends; results are kept 7 days with an account, 1 day without.
- Balance check. There is no per-bank template: every row is added up against the opening and closing balances printed on the statement, and a misread is flagged, not hidden. How the balance check works

Questions
Which of these can I try free?
Eleven of the 13 listed publish a free tier rather than a trial. stmtai: 5 pages with no account, then 10 pages a month with a free account; every export included. ParseBank: 1 page a day with no account; Free plan 10 pages a month with every export format. BankXLSX: Up to 15 pages (5 per statement) once, with no card; does not renew. LedgerBox: 14-day trial starting with 10 pages (200 after one listed action), no card; a Free plan covers 3 clients and 30 pages a month. Lido: 50 pages, no card. FlowParse: 10 pages a month free, no card; Smart Merge of up to 5 files; CSV and Excel export; API access. The free tier column has the other 5.
Does stmtai convert Australian bank statements?
Yes. Its own page for Australian bank statements (linked above) has the download steps and the layout notes, and this table reads this site like every other row. The things it does not do are listed too: 12-file batch cap, no MT940, BAI2 or camt.053 input, no analytics. The first 5 pages need no account, so the quickest check is to drop a statement in below and look at the result.
How were the tools chosen?
Each tool's homepage and pricing page were read in October 2026 and the values copied into one table with the URL they came from. A tool appears here when those pages state that it names Australia and New Zealand or any bank as a market; BankQBO, MoneyThumb, Suparse, Parseur, Nanonets, Docsumo, CleanStmt, StatementTable and EasyLedger were left out because their pages do not say. Nothing is ranked by opinion; the order is stmtai first, then the tools as they appear in the table.
